Study mode
Also called learning mode, Guided Learning
A setting that makes an AI teach instead of answer: it asks questions, gives hints and checks your understanding step by step.
An AI that hands over the answer is a fast way to finish homework and a slow way to learn. Study modes switch the behaviour round. Instead of solving the problem, the AI asks what you think comes next, nudges you when you're stuck and checks you can do the next one on your own.
The method is old: a good tutor asks more than they tell, because working something out yourself is what makes it stick. The AI version is available at midnight before an exam and never gets impatient.
It only works if you play along. A student can always switch it off and ask for the answer, so it's a tool for people who want to learn, not a lock against people who don't.
For example
Stuck on a chemistry problem, you get asked what you already know about moles before it shows you the next step.
